I know you won't believe that I actually still had a film camera my freshman year of college...but I did. I still haven't motivated myself to scanning all the pictures onto the computer. Which I know I should do someday, just in case something were to happen. We would still have our pictures because we use this online site called smugmug.com. It's really great. You store all your pictures on line for a small price. It's totally worth it.
Anyway...that's besides the point. I don't have a freshman year picture of Emily and I to show you, but I do have a sophomore picture. My mom came out to college to visit me every year for my birthday and she would take my friends and I out somewhere special. That year we went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. (I went to college in California) My freshman roommates were Emily (from Minnesota) and Nikki (from Michigan) and two other girls...There were 6 of us in one room. Good thing our room was fairly large. We were instant friends and we've been friends ever since. =)
Emily and I graduated together in May of 2007.
This was her rehearsal dinner. We had Panda Express...people on the east coast have no idea how wonderful Chinese "fast food" is!!! =) haahaa!! She had it decorated simple, but elegant. =)
Friends of old =P
Getting the sparklers ready!
LOVED her train!
Getting ready...make up is all over the place!
Emily's beautiful wedding dress.
I seriously wish that I had my own personal hair dresser!
Just loved the way she did my updo...
Roomies =)
Haha! Suck it in...She said she didn't remember it being this tight. =P
Beautiful bride...and soon-to-be-Mrs.
Her ballet shoes.
Her bouquet was gorgeous! She'll be able to keep this forever! To preserve roses...hang upside down, spray with hairspray, and let hang until completely dried out. The hairspray helps keep everything in it's rightful spot.
The favors were so cute. Hot cocoa with mini marshmallows and
red sugar sprinkles, tied with ribbons that said, "happily ever after".
Here comes the bride...all dressed in white....
I do...
Ben and I sang a duet of the "Wedding Celebration" from "In the Beginning" which is a production that Sight and Sound Theater does. If you've never been to Sight and Sound there are only two in the United States. One in Branson, Missouri (where my husband was named after) and there is one in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I wish I still had the actual song, because it's really pretty. I still have the words to it though.
"Wedding Celebration"
I love you. One look into your eyes captured my soul.
Now come with me. Let me take you in my arms to cherish and hold.
So different from each other; yet one in spirit and truth.
How can I express your worth? Where can I start?
To tell the glory of God on earth.
Chorus:
We were created for each other, in the image of God’s love.
Forever be together. Forever be together.
And to live, to laugh and love
Your eyes outshine the stars of heaven.
Your hands are gentle, but strong.
How beautiful you are!
In your arms, I belong
Chorus:
We were created for each other, in the image of God’s love.
Forever be together. Forever be together.
And to live, to laugh and love
He’s made us one, living side by side
My beloved husband
My precious bride
Mr. & Mrs. =)
The happy couple =)
the cake!...it was so pretty!
They were actually quit nice to each other. =)
It was actually pretty chilly that night. You'd be surprised how cold it gets in California.
Sparklers! How fun!
And they're off to honeymoon in Hawaii! =)
And In-and-Out Burger made the whole trip worth while...Just kidding, Em! =P
Though I wish upon wish they would put one of these heavenly places on the east coast!
EVERY, and I mean every, time I go out to California I get my In-and-Out Burger fix. =)
I'm drooling right now...I better stop staring at this picture. Seriously, you haven't
lived until you've eaten and In-and-Out Burger. Go there...you won't be sorry! =)
Happy Anniversary, Emily and Daniel!! Love you guys and miss you much!!
