Birthday Party and Hibachi Grill all in the Same Day

Branson (& I's) friend's birthday party was this past weekend. He (Todd) and his wife (Jessica) live in California but flew into Pennsylvania for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends. So, Jessica decided to have Todd's 30th birthday party while they were here in PA. It was so nice to see them...even though it wasn't for very long. They had a ton of people crammed into his parent's house. =) She did such a cute job with the decorations. He works in construction, so she did a construction themed party.
I think they bought the cake at Costco...they did an awesome job!

She had 'caution tape' streamers all over the place.
I loved the orange cones that served as the weights for the balloons.
Just a couple Tonka toys on the table...

This was Todd when he was younger...how cute! =P
Getting ready to blow out the candles...
 Todd with his nieces.
Todd & Jessica with their baby girl, Aubrey. Happy Birthday, Todd!

Branson & I ALSO went to Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia later that night with our Sunday school class. I made reservation for our group and I'm so glad I did because we got the BEST seats in the house!!
This was a piece of art at the Hibachi grill.
Just waiting for our table to be ready.
Henry & Kim, our Sunday school leaders.
We all fit at the same table, yeah!!! =)
Ok, so I walked around the back of our table (the grill area) to get a picture of the other side of our table. and Israel pointed out at sign (I didn't see it) that said "Employees behind grill area only" ooppps!!!
This is Israel. He is documenting each week of his life in the year 2012 as part of his New Years resolution. If you want to see this week's entry visit: Week 3 you can fast forward to 5:48 to see the Hibachi & Dave & Busters. If you want to go one step further...you could visit his blog and learn some new things about video and audio production =) check out: Israel's Blog
 Kendall & Kara...Angela & Dan
We did end up getting the early bird special!! Yeah!! Which saved us a lot of money!
My handsome husband & me =)
 Our view...
Just getting our salad...we are SOOO excited about eating!!! haahaa!!
oooooo.....aaaaahhhhhh!! Bethany were slightly scared about catching on fire. =)
Our chef was catching the raw eggs on his spatula...pretty cool!
He made us girls a heart (a little early) for Valentine's Day out of our fried rice.
So...this is me....I'm going to try sushi for the first time.
haahaa!! I was not sure about doing this. It wasn't that bad, but I'm not sure if I would order it.
Our chef made a volcano out of the onions.
We had an excellent chef!!! He was pretty funny too!
Some of us did the shrimp toss....Kim caught hers.
Israel caught his...and also "caught" it on camera. =)
I won't say whether or not Kara caught it...but I love Angela & Dan's expressions! haahaa!!
at Penn's Landing
We even had a chance to go to Dave & Buster's.

We dodged a near death experience on the way home,
but thanks to Henry's many years of driving experience we survived. =)
It was a busy day, but lots of fun and great to hang out with friends!!

  1. Wow...what a busy day and night!! Was good to see Todd, Jessica and baby Aubry plus lots of friends from our old church. Trip to Penn Landing looks like fun too. Liked the onion volcano....did you learn how to replicate it?
