This past weekend was pretty crazy busy, but my husband and I were able to spend some time with his family on Sunday afternoon. We celebrated his mom's birthday @ Texas Roadhouse for lunch. It was really nice. My husband's sister, Kelly (owner of Xtophy Design Studio) made their mom a ShowMe bracelet of the silhouettes of Kelly's (& her hubby's) kids (we don't have kiddos yet). It is soooo pretty!! I HAD to share it with you all. =)
Opening her present from Kelly. =)
Silhouettes of her grandbabies. =)
Kelly also surprised me and made me a CharmMe pendant necklace AND she made me a Wearable Art Necklace!!! My birthday is next Wednesday & she won't be able to make it to my get-together...so I got my birthday present early...which is totally OK with me! haahaa!! =)
LOVE them! =) Funny story...so, I actually made these silhouettes of Branson & I last January (before I started blogging) & my goal is to have a silhouette of everyone in Branson & I's family and have it up in our hallway displayed like a family tree....I wanted to share some tutorials with you because there are TONS of different ways of making your own silhouettes....you have to visit each one of these links below...they each have a unique way of doing their own silhouettes. It's super interesting!!
(just because it's fun AND it's almost Halloween)
I found where you can get your own CUSTOM silhouette cookie cutter too!!!! I'm SOOO excited, because I make a mean sugar cookie & this would be perfect for them! I would LOVE to get custom silhouette cookie cutters!!!! Anyway, here's the link: Custom Cookie Cutter Silhouette from Victor Trading Company
Here's a close-up of Branson & I's silhouette CharmMe necklace.

This is my Wearable Art necklace pendant.
I attended a paint class called Jin's Art PA at Shearer Elegance Bed & Breakfast at the beginning of the month and was thrilled to have been able to paint my own autumn themed art called 'Anticipating Fall'.
Here is my original painting from the class.
If you want to see some pictures from the class itself visit: Jin's Art.

I hope I've inspired you to try to make your own silhouettes! You can use the silhouettes for ANYTHING! Christmas is coming super fast....maybe use this as a Christmas present this year?!?! I know everyone would LOVE it...I definitely think you'd receive the 'favorite present of the year' award! haahaa!!
