My Halloween Birthday

It's become a tradition...family & friends are invited back to my hubby & I's house for my birthday/Halloween party. My nephew decided he was going to buy & make a lot of the 'extra' food himself...as my birthday present. Prepare to be amazed by all he did! Thank you so much, Brendon! You did an outstanding job! I loved everything you did to make my birthday one-of-a-kind! Love you bunches!
Brendon went all sorts of crazy for my birthday. =) Everything he did was really cool!! I loved it all. He found this giant pumpkin & carved it out for the punch bowl to go inside. Then he put dry ice in the bottom of it to make the fog. It was so neat! How to make dry ice fog: spooky Halloween Jack-o-Lantern
I think this was the coolest part of my party! =)
He hasn't added the ice cubes yet.
There they are...& that completes the Skull Punch. Skull Ice Cube Trays
Brendon & his dad (my brother) carved all the faces...they looked really cool!
Last year I bought a bunch of Halloween cupcake stands for $0.50 each at Walmart after Halloween on clearance. I used them for a friend's surprise bridal shower: Kiwi Green & Damask Bridal Shower (I just covered the tops of the cake stands for the shower). I got to use them again this year for all of Brendon's awesome cupcakes!! =)
The ghost cupcakes were my favorite ones! They are so cute!
Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee This was actually really yummy!!
We got some of the brain names from Martha Stewart: Brainy Brainstorm, Sir Think A Lot, Intell E. Gent, Albert Mindstein, Noodle Noggin', Grey Matter, Ima Wiseman, Smar T. Pants, Mush Mellon, Smart Alec
Lollipops with Candy Corn The link to the recipe calls for candy molds & extract of choice, you don't need either. What you can try instead is...baking sheets covered with parchment paper. Once your candy is ready, pour onto parchment paper to your specified size....you must work quickly so you may want help...you have to press the candy corn & the lollipop stick into lollipop before it hardens.
I had plain old hot dogs & hamburgers for those who weren't feeling adventurous in their food choices that night. =) The food was a hit though & Brendon did an amazing job. He definitely made the night unique with all the different things he did with the food. His future wife will be super lucky someday...he is a great cook/baker!! =)
I used my burlap (from Save on Crafts) for the tablecloths.
The trick-or-treaters started ringing the doorbell! My mom was so excited!! This girl is dressed up as a loofa! What a great costume! haahaa!! (she also came back to the house twice...since we were giving out sodas)
Great minds think alike =) Yep, you guessed it...we both got our shirts on clearance last year! haahaa!
Can you guess this costume?
Conjoined Twins....again, pretty good. I wonder if the kids or the parents are coming up with these costumes?!?! =P
Niece & aunt...funny story...I was 3 years old when my mom & dad told me I was going to an aunt. I told them 'I don't want to be an 'ant'; I want to be a pony.' haahaa! Now that I'm older maybe I would pick a unicorn or something...no, I love being an aunt! I love all my nieces & nephews. I'm thankful for each & everyone of them! My life just wouldn't be the same without them!
I think this guy is in some serious camo!! I had to look this one up...but what he's wearing is a ghillie suit.
 Aww- friends...& photo bomb =)
 So adorable...little astronaut!
The girl in the pink is a pink Crayola crayon!!!! haahaa! I loved her little hat!
My nephew (who is over 6 foot) found this crying baby mask & dressed up as a giant baby!! It was so scary & so funny...all at the same time! haahaa!!
All I can say is... like father like son. haahaa! =)
These little guys were so adorable...a cop & jailbird! haha!
This particular trick-or-treater had a REAL pumpkin on his head as his mask....taking pumpkin-head to a whole new level!!
This little baby girl was terrified of us! She was soooo adorable, but because my family is loud, we had scared her...her eyes were welling up...so glad we didn't actually make her cry! Poor thing!
I guess our favorites were the younger kids...they sure were adorable all dressed up in their Halloween costumes.
This guys was stuck straight through with a sword!
Taking some pictures of the gang. Our friends live in the same development as us...so they join us for our little party each year. This year their son was dressed up as 'The Hulk'. =)
 The fam...
 ...more fam =)
William got attacked by silly string...all on my clean floors...so much for scrubbing them. =P
I really hate clowns....no, I really do. My mom told them their masks were ugly. haahaa!!!
 This guy was my favorite!
 Little Red Riding Hood
I didn't see the need to buy a cake when we had SOOO much food. I just used one of Brendon's fantastic cupcakes as my 'cake'...plus then I didn't have to actually blow out 29 candles. =) See my logic now?
It was so loud...they are all singing 'Happy Birthday'.
 Making a wish.
How did you blow out all those candles?!?! =P
This was so cool...I had mentioned that I was going to start collecting vintage Halloween decorations and my friend, Kristy, bought me a booklet of vintage Halloween postcards. So neat!!
So...on the front of the birthday card was a panda bear lounging under a tree and it said 'For your birthday...an ancient Chinese secret for staying younger looking!'...when you opened the card it was in Chinese! My sister works at a doctor's office & her boss is Chinese...so, she's taking a picture of it to see if her boss will translate it for us! haahaa!! =)
A hand beaded bracelet from Branson's grandma.
A really cool Layer Cake Slicer by Frieling...from my in-laws.

If you know me...you know that I LOVE presents. =) This year I told everyone NOT to bring gifts...as you can see they didn't listen real well. =P I did want to do a quick shout-out to those who did not listen =P to my request of no presents (some presents are not pictured)...thank you so much for your thoughtful gifts. I really appreciate each & every one of them!
Michael is asking if he can keep the balloon. =) I think his exact words were, "Someone told me if I asked you if I could have your balloon, you would say 'yes'". =) Of course I said 'yes'. =)
My wonderful husband bought me an awesome camera bag/purse from Jo Totes...He bought me Missy Mint. LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
Each soda can got a Pick'n Pumpkins Tract & spider ring....
Each kid got a handful of candy & a can of soda...we don't go overboard or anything. =)
This year we reached an all new high of 242 cans of soda that were handed out!!! Whaaa-whoooo! =) I think last year we were around 160! It was funny to hear some of the comments from the kids again this year. One kid said 'we were looking for your house all night' another kid said 'we heard about your house'...another said '(our house #)...gotta remember that number for next year' =) They were pretty funny.

There is never a dull moment at my house for Halloween! Love my family!
