I can tell you exactly where I was when I found out one of the World Trade Towers was hit. My mom called me. I was home alone. I was scared. I asked my mom if she could come home from work and pick me up. I didn't want to be by myself. I was crying. There was so many emotions....I didn't know anyone in those buildings or planes, but my heart hurt for them. Their lives were so unfairly snuffed out by a cowardly fanatical "religious" act. I was angry. My mom picked me up from home and we were at her workplace, everyone was watching the tv...we all watched with horror the images unfolding in front of us....we watched with hope that some people could be saved. Over 3,000 people were killed that day, more people then the Pearl Harbor attack. That's heart-wrenching to me.
I just want to say that I love America and I love the men and women who make it possible for us to keep our freedoms. I'm thankful full all the emergency responders that help others every day. I'm thankful for a nation that was founded on sound principles. I'm thankful that there is still hope that we can know for certain where we'll go when we die. If you're not 100% sure that if you died today that you would go to heaven, please visit this site: How to Get to Heaven
This Thursday I'm going to be in New York. I have the privilege of going to the World Trade Center Memorial Museum. If you want to go to the museum check this site out: 911memorial It gives you all the info you need to know about the museum itself. You'll probably need a box of tissues...I'll be bringing my own box. Anyway, I found this video and I thought it was appropriate for today.
May we NEVER forget!!!
